Jacob was on the Jumbotron for a really long time! I took 32 pics of it… I pretty much have a flip book of him being on there!
Jacob helping Peyton warm up… they do the exact same thing EVERY week! (I think they might be just a little superstitious!)
Brad Pitt’s suite was right behind us! Pretty exciting, but he cheered for the Saints… boo, along with the other 70,000 fans
Opening Kick-Off! Jake is third from the right!
This one is right after Jake’s BIG kick return tackle! He was soooo excited! I don’t know how I got this shot, because I was jumping up and down
This was my view from church on Sunday morning! How can it get any better than that?
Rob and Linda Elmore, Theo, Sarah Jane, Seth and Pam Tamme arriving at the stadium! (I just noticed our silly credentials are in EVERY picture, wish we would have remembered to take them off for pictures… oh well!)
My AWESOME shirt made by Bella Artistry! I loved how it sparkled in the Florida sunshine!
Sarah Jane Tamme, Linda Elmore, Andrea and Kyle May and Rob Elmore waiting for Kick-off!
Jacob (yellow 88 jersey) talks to Freddy Keiaho (54) and Curtis Painter (7) before their walk-through on Saturday morning at the Dolphin’s practice facility. This was the first Colts practice I had ever watched… pretty neat!

Well, I am back in Indy looking out the window at 14 inches of snow and wondering why didn’t we stay in Florida until May? Super Bowl XLIV was the most surreal experience I have ever had. It’s simply amazing that my husband was seen by 106 million viewers playing the sport that he loves so much!
The past three days haven’t been easy, but each day gets a little better than the one before. We haven’t read the newspapers, we haven’t talked much about the game (except for interviews), and we’ve only had the tv on long enough to watch the UK game last night. Eventually it will be great to go back and watch the game, but right now is just too soon. The experience was truly a blessing!
Below are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip!
This horseshoe was painted on the beach outside of our hotel!
These amazing beach beds were my home away from home in Miami! I LOVED them! At one point I think we had 5 people piled on one just laughing and talking. The waitresses would come by and take lunch orders so you didn’t even have to get up… amazing! Above you can see Andrea and me relaxing on Friday morning!
They gave Jake this awesome GMC Terrain to drive for the week! It even had the official Super Bowl logo on the door!
Jake and I at our favorite restaurant, Charlie’s Crab in Ft. Lauderdale! The coconut shrimp were amazing and the concierge sent us all free desserts!
It was our niece, Lucy Claire’s first trip to the beach! So, of course we took a million pictures of her… she is the cutest!
Disappointed just doesn’t begin to describe it, but the sun will come up tomorrow. There are much worse things in this world than losing the Super Bowl. So proud of Jacob and our team! I’ll post pictures and more stories when we return to Indy.
This morning has been great! We attended a chapel service on the beach. Church on the beach… Definitely another first for me! After church, the Colts hosted a brunch. All of the food was great, but I chose a high sugar meal. Check out my breakfast of champions below ![]()
We are now on the bus heading to the stadium and it is 12:30. It’s going to be a long, but exciting day! Go Jake! Go COLTS!!
It is 11:30pm and I am getting ready to fall asleep… Or at least try to! I’m starting to get a little excited! This whole week has been so surreal. It’s hard to believe the game is actually tomorrow! We have chapel st 10am and then brunch at 11. After that we head straight to the stadium!! Ahhhhhhh! Can’t wait!
Please pray for our boys and the safety of everyone at the game!
Blessings,
Allison
The bus ride back to the hotel was unreal! We’ve had police escorts to events each day, but they really beefed security up today because we were traveling with the team! We had no less than 45 police cars traveling with the 13 buses that carried the players and their families! Crazy! I sure felt safe! They even closed interstate exits to get our buses through safely!
Now we are back at the pool and the beach! Jacob is trying his best to make today like any other Saturday, but that is pretty challenging! While we are having fun in the sun, he is studying film. Such a studious athlete
Tonight we are off to dinner at Bimini Boatyard!
