Of course you’re right, and I think Garrard ’94 is the only other local girls team to get out of the first round. My sentence was supposed to read “semifinals,” as in, no local team had reached the semifinals. Oops.

The Garrard County girls made the quarterfinals in 1994, beating Greenwood before falling to eventual champ M.C. Napier.
