Boyle inherits longest current win streak
Boyle County now has the longest current winning streak in Kentucky football following Highlands’ 28-26 loss to Ryle earlier tonight.
Highlands had won 37 consecutive games before Ryle tripped up the Bluebirds in their regular-season finale. Boyle has won 24 straight games but faces a stern test of its own Friday night against Christian County.
Somerset has the second-longest active streak with 10 straight wins. Mayfield, Hazard, Murray, Allen County-Scottsville, Bell County and John Hardin can reach 10 consecutive wins on Friday.
