Jaggers named AD at alma mater

Marty Jaggers, a former football coach at three Advocate-area schools, has returned to his roots. Scott Brown at WKDZ-FM of Cadiz reports that Jaggers has been named athletic director at Trigg County, his alma mater.

Jaggers, a 1977 Trigg graduate, will begin work Monday at the school where he set numerous passing records during his football career.

He was the head coach for six seasons at Lincoln County — he led the Patriots to the Class AAA finals in 1993 — and four seasons at Mercer County and also worked as an assistant coach at Danville.
