12th Region All “A” Classic this week
The Danville boys and Somerset girls will be defending their titles in the 12th Region All “A” Classic this week.
Burgin will host the tournament, which will be played as a series of girls-boys doubleheaders Monday, Tuesday and Friday. If the Burgin boys and girls lose their first-round games, Friday’s finals will move to Somerset.
Burgin, Danville, Monticello and Somerset are playing for berths in the statewide All “A” Classic, which will be played Jan. 23-27 in Frankfort. The 12th Region girls champion will play a first-round game against 8th Region representative Gallatin County in the at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 23; the 12th Region boys winner will play the 9th Region representative at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24.
