12th Region winners to play early at Sweet Sixteen tournaments

The 12th Region boys and girls basketball champions and their fans will have to be ready for an early tip-off at their respective Sweet Sixteen tournaments after today’s tournament draw placed both 12th Region representatives in the first game of their respective sessions. And they’ll have to prepare for some tough competition to boot.

The 12th Region boys champion will play the 11th Region winner in the opening game of the Boys Sweet Sixteen at noon March 6 in Lexington. The 12th Region girls champion will play the 3rd Region winner at 1 p.m. March 14 in Bowling Green.
