Sara Hammond added 11 points, nine rebounds and seven blocked shots.

The game was tied at 28-all at halftime, and Rockcastle still led by just one point with 5:36 to play before finishing the game with a 12-2 run as Clark never got another field goal, missing its final seven shots with three turnovers. The Lady Cardinals were 2 for 11 in the fourth quarter and 6 for 24 in the second half after going 10 for 20 in the first half.

Rockcastle was 0-5 at the state tournament before this season but is now following in the footsteps of 47th District rival Casey County, which won two tourney games last year before losing to eventual champion Iroquois in the semifinals.
