I’ve made out a list of all the homework, projects and extra things I have to do for the rest of the semester… it’s down to one page!
Tomorrow begins the last week of classes and then all that is left is finals! I only have 11 classes left in my undergrad career (and I have to skip two of them for other events). This is week is also what I call crazy week because it’s when all the papers, presentations and tests are due right before finals. It’s also the week that all the end-of-the-year luncheons take place. So, the schedule gets to be a bit crazy… hence the reason I’m skipping a couple classes.
I’ve also knocked down one more big event… spring formal! We had an amazing spring formal at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green on Friday night. It was so much fun, and I can’t believe it was my last! That’s the thing my friends and I always look forward to every year!
Graduation is almost here! Only 12 more days!

I am one of those students who faithfully carries her planner everywhere, filling it in anytime there’s another homework assignment or event to attend. I also make lists everyday to plan out my day so I won’t forget one of those little errands I need to run around campus… and it never fails that when I leave my planner in my room, I forget.
I’ve been looking at my planner lately A LOT (1) because after this week is over there’s only one more week of classes, plus finals, and (2) because after May 8 it’s completely empty.
Up until now I thought that a crazy, full, colorful planner stressed me out just by the look of it. Now, however, I look at the dates after graduation and I have absolutely no plans whatsoever! You would think that would be a relaxing feeling, but for me it stresses me out even more than not having time to rest.
Monday night, however, I calmed down a little bit more about not having any plans. Someone read a verse that really encouraged me, even though I’ve heard the basic meaning so many times. Psalm 139:16 says, “You saw me before I was born. Everyday of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”
Even though I’ve heard so many times that God has a plan, I’ve just seemed to sort of roll my eyes thinking “yeah, yeah I know, but I don’t know that plan.” But, this verse really spoke to me. No matter what plans I have written down in my planner (whether full or empty), God has his plans for me written in HIS planner!

Quarter pounder, small fries, mocha frappe… what do these have in common? I got it all for free!
Sunday evenings in the dining hall typically aren’t the best time to eat. My friends and I usually end up getting fast food at Taco Bell or Subway. Tonight, however, I chose McDonald’s because I had all kinds of coupons… an entire meal turned out to be completely free!
How did I get a free meal? A couple weeks ago I went out to McDonald’s with my fiance and his roommate. This was back when they had the scratch off prizes you get on the side of your drink or fries… they won an order of small fries and a frappe, and gave the little free coupons to me. I also had a coupon I got last semester for a free quarter pounder. So, tonight I go to McDonald’s and my entire meal cost me nothing!
Over the next couple weeks before I graduate I’ll have to use the rest of my coupons… I still have two certificates for free Papa John’s, another free coupon for a quarter pounder and fries at McDonald’s, and another certificate for a free combo meal at Sonic! The end of school also means plenty of luncheons, which equals more free meals! I’ll be eating good these last three weeks!

Going into college I always heard people say, “College will be the best years of your life.” So, I took what they said and so far I believe them. I graduate in 25 days so I guess that means the best part of my life is nearly over. Now, it’s time to make the best of what’s left and make the rest of my life even better!
April on a college campus is pure chaos… especially working in the Office of University Communications. We LITERALLY cannot squeeze anything else onto our calendars… there is no more room to write anything!
Lately I’ve been looking at school and time left in terms of big events… mass media appreciation luncheon, Thunder over Louisville, spring formal, class officer elections, awards day, finals week and commencement. I thought by this time I would be going absolutely insane with all the work, but surprisingly I’m doing awesome! The mass media luncheon is tomorrow and I cannot believe it’s already here… I feel like I should have so much work to do on it, but everything is taken care of. I stressed out about it at first, but it hasn’t been that bad of a headache like I expected. I love being in charge of big events like that!
The truth is… as one big event goes by I know there’s always another one to focus on; however, after May 8 there’s nothing on my calendar to look forward to. Yeah, there’s the real world of finding a job and dealing with becoming a “real” adult… but so far nothing is on the calendar. It’s strange to see absolutely nothing on the calendar… I’m not freaking out about not having a job and not having any plans for the summer. If anything, I’ll relax and soak in the last four years (and best years) of my life.

Read the story I wrote recently about CU students spending their Spring Break on mission trips. There are some awesome testimonies, one in particular from a Japanese student named Tomo.

The word “tupos” means to make an impact. And that’s what a Bible study of nearly 40 CU students is trying to do.
The Bible study began about a month ago at a friend’s house who just moved off-campus with four other guys. I just started going to the Bible study yesterday, and I was very surprised to see a room completely full of people sitting on couches, leaning against the walls and tables, and some still standing.
It was such an encouragement to me to see so many people that I knew that wanted to make an impact. The name of the Bible study, “Tupos”, was proposed last night. We are making an impact. Can you imagine what 40 students could do for a campus our size? Think of the impact we could make!
The choice is to make an impact for the Kingdom or not. We are choosing to make an impact. And even though the semester is coming to an end and there may not seem like enough time to make an impact, you never know what we could do, and there’s always the continuation of it next year.
I can’t wait to see the “tupos” to Campbellsville University this group will make.
Thank you to the guys who opened up their new home for fellowship, worship, and study of God’s Word. It’s truly a blessing to see so many students coming together to learn more about God and take that out into the world, even if that world is right on campus… that’s where the impact needs to first be made.
How can you “tupos”?
