Life on my own

So I looked at my blog calendar to see how long it had been since I wrote… looks like I’m going to be writing every Thursday, for some reason that’s just the day I remember. Life has been busy starting the new job, and I’ve been entertaining myself with online TV (Bachelorette, Big Brother, and Rookie Blue) in the evenings.

Today for lunch I had my first real visitor to the apartment. I finally decided to clean up and put the last few things away, and I’m really liking the apartment. The only problem I’ve discovered is the shower… it keeps dripping. It sounds like the water is still on, but there’s no way for me to physically make it stop. Time to call maintenance. But, at least I don’t have to pay the water bill.

Tonight was the first time I would say I actually cooked something for dinner… it was only mac and cheese (the Toy Story 3 kind because it was the first that I saw), but I used the stove and my new red, silicone utensils so it counts as cooking.

Anyone have any suggestions for one-person meals?? I’m not finding much motivation to cook if I have to eat the same thing for the next three days because of all the leftovers.
