Goh, Moreno named Wrangler students of the month at West Jessamine Middle School

West Jessamine Middle School’s sixth-grade Wrangler students of the month for October are Joylynn Goh and Diego Moreno. The students were recognized at school Friday morning. The awards are given for responsibility, good citizenship, academic excellence and going above and beyond student responsibilities.

Students at West Jessamine Middle School sported blue fingernails last week in recognition of their pledge against bullying. This was the third year of the school’s “pinkie pledge” program that began when sixth-graders approached youth-service-center director Bobbye Ball with the idea. West Jessamine Middle School students selected for ACDA State Honors Choir

Thirteen students from West Jessamine Middle School were selected for the American Choral Directors Association’s State Honors Choir. Several East Jessamine Middle School students are among the national winners of the 2014 Junior American Citizens Contest from the Trabue Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
