Ms. Kentucky Ramsey Carpenter spoke to students at East Jessamine Middle School on Friday, Feb. 27. Carpenter also visited The Providence School and Wilmore Elementary School to talk with students about how she overcame obstacles in her life and how they could succeed.

West Jessamine Middle School to host family literacy night March 19

West Jessamine Middle School will host its annual family literacy night, titled the “Literacy Luau,” on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event will feature games, prizes, student work, the Cat in the Hat and a book fair. For more information, call West Middle at 885-2244.

West Jessamine Middle School presents ‘Godspell Jr.’ on Saturday at West High

West Jessamine Middle School will perform the musical ‘Godspell Jr.’ on Saturday, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the auditorium at West Jessamine High School. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and can be purchased in advance at the West Middle chorus room or at the door. See more …
