Big crowds gather at West Jessamine Middle School’s literacy luau

Hundreds of students, staff and family members flocked to West Jessamine Middle School on Tuesday for the school’s luau-themed literacy celebration. The event featured a summer reading kick-off, games, prizes, student work, The Cat in the Hat and a school book fair. Chorus and band students also performed in the school gymnasium.
