State police investigating potential arsons
I just got my hands on a news release from state police concerning some of the fires that have happened in Garrard County this year:
Kentucky State Police are investigating a series of suspicious fires that have occurred in Garrard County since May 2010, and are seeking the public’s assistance with any information that may help investigators solve these cases. The fires involve a barn, garage and two homes. On May 6, 2010 a residential fire occurred at 4480 Crab Orchard Road, Lancaster. The structure was a total loss. Other fires occurred on September 27 at 7762 Fall Lick Road, and on October 17 at 3316 Fall Lick Road. The former involved a barn which contained a tractor and other farm implements. The latter involved a detached garage which contained an automobile. Both fires involved total losses. The latest fire occurred on October 31, when a vacant home at 4489 Crab Orchard Road completely burned. Arson is suspected in all of these cases. If anyone has any information concerning these fires, they are asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 or contact the arson tip hotline at 1-800-27-ARSON. There is a reward of $1000, if the information leads to an arrest in any of these cases. The investigation by KSP Arson Investigator Pat Alford is ongoing.

Also, I got in contact with the state police spokesman for post five up in northern Kentucky and he provided some details about Aaron Woosley’s arrest. The full story is here.
