* Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia also opened to the public in 1971.
* Former Baltimore first baseman Eddie Murray connected on his 1,000th career hit.
* The Masters is always held this time of year, which unofficially ushers in the golf season for many golfers.
* The most special part is the Easter season, a time of celebration and new beginnings.
