Doron Lamb earns praise

Kentucky sophomore guard earned high praise from Kentucky coach John Calipari today.
The UK coach spoke of Lamb’s progress during the off-season to ESPN’s Andy Katz. Calipari went as far as to say that Lamb was the team’s best player.
“In my opinion, he’s going to be one of the top-15 players in the country,” Calipari told Katz. “He was a freshman last season and it’s hard for those guys to be consistent. The same thing occurred for Terrence Jones. (Lamb) has a great feel for the game. He was here for most of the summer and is now home for three weeks in New York before school starts. These are a big three weeks for him.”
Lamb said earlier this summer that his biggest lesson from last summer was listening to his head coach.
“You have to listen to coach (Calipari) and do what he says. If you listen, you’ll have success like Brandon Knight and other past point guards.”
