As I am sitting here at court side at Freedom Hall, the building is less than full, meaning Kentucky’s yearly game here in Louisville.
Hearing the set up here hasn’t been ideal for Kentucky administrators, or the media. Larry Vaught and I are using the Droid Charge Hot Spot (Thanks to Ashley and Michelle) to connect to the outside world. As Larry says, “We love Ashley and Michelle and our Verizon Droid Charge phones.”
That’s the neat thing about the Verizon service. Internet connection when there is none!
Back to the Louisville “home” game for Kentucky. Looks like this game could be a thing of the past. I’ve pondered a few suggestions for UK to consider.
(1) Instead of playing the game here at Freedom Hall, why not play the game at Memorial Coliseum for “regular Joe” fans who aren’t season ticket holders at Rupp Arena. Remember the NIT game at Memorial Coliseum almost three years ago? Now that was fun, wasn’t it?
(2) As Mike “Bear Rogers” indicated, why not play the game at Rupp Arena and charge non-season ticket holders $25 per seat? That’s a good idea, too!
