Former George Rogers Clark High School standout Tristan Jones is making an impact at Western Kentucky in his second season in Bowling Green.
Jones, a former three-sport standout at Clark, is listed No. 1 on the current depth chart at tight end. Jones hauled in a 30-yard touchdown pass from quarterback David Wolke in the Hilltoppers’ 41-7 loss at Alabama last week.
Jones has caught four passes for 42 yards and one touchdown and will be in the starting lineup when Western takes on Murray State Saturday.
Jones will be making a return trip home on Sept. 27 when Western visits Lexington to take on Kentucky in the first-ever meeting on the gridiron between the two state foes.
