The Buffalo News had a story in today’s edition regarding UK and Villanova coach Jay Wright…..
During a Friday afternoon media session at the Ford Center, Wright was asked if he could honestly say he never second- guessed his decision not to interview at Kentucky.
“This time?” Wright asked.
“Last time,” the questioner said.
“Last time? Yeah,” Wright said. “You know, I heard John Calipari say, if he didn’t do that this time, he’d always be wondering, ‘What if?’ Right after you do it, and you see what the guy signs for [Calipari got eight years, $31.65 million], you go, ‘Wow, that will buy a lot of horses.’
“Honestly, I love where I am. Once I got back coaching Villanova, I just know this is why I love Villanova, working with the people there.
“So since then, honestly, never,” Wright concluded.
