The cutting-edge system will ensure fans can count on the Verizon Wireless network to handle their voice calls, texts, picture messages and uploads to social media sites to share highlights with family and friends during the event. Verizon Wireless, which operates the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and largest, most reliable 3G network, invested more than $63 million in network enhancements in New Orleans and south Louisiana during 2011 to further boost its high speeds and strengthen coverage. The latest enhancement in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will not only enhance coverage for the 2012 NCAA Final Four but events held year round in the facility as well.
